Children

Calvary Club - Calvary Club meets one Saturday a month from September to May.  It is an outreach to Elementary school children in grades Kindergarten to Sixth grade.  The goal of Calvary Club is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and work in conjunction with the home to accomplish the spiritual birth and growth of our clubbers. The focus of Calvary Club is on Bible Memorization (Psalm 119:11).  The children are encouraged to participate in visitor outreach, to become familiar with the books of the Bible, to recite and understand the plan of salvation as outlined in the Wordless Book, and to compete in games and activities of the Calvary Club meetings.

The Deaf

At Calvary, we are excited to minister to those who are hearing impaired.  Many of our people are learning and know ASL.  Not only do we try to make sure that our services can be signed for the deaf, but any of our activities or retreats as well.  Feel free to call us with TTY.

Bible Institute

For two semesters every year - fall and spring - men on our staff teach courses in our Bible Institute.  Our Bible Institute meets every Monday night for 8 weeks a semester.  This provides anyone who will come with an opportunity to study the Word of God on a deeper level.  Our Bible Institute is a free ministry of Calvary Baptist.  Check out the calendar of events to see the schedule.

Nursing Home, Rescue Mission, and Prison Ministries

The Lord has given us opportunity to preach the Gospel on a regular basis at a local nursing home.  We have services there twice a week as well as a Thursday night Bible study every week.  We also minister at an inner-city rescue mission in Philadelphia and conduct Bible studies and services in an area prison.  These are just a few ways we try to spread the Good News of the Lord Jesus.

Homeschool Choir

Many of the families with children in our church have chosen to homeschool their children.  Homeschool choir meets every Tuesday morning for two semesters.  The children involved in Homeschool Choir have an opportunity not only to learn and develop their voices, but any instruments they may play and to gain experience in public speaking.  The programs the children learn are presented in local nursing homes.
